Ethiopian Defence University Commandant B/General Kebede Regasa held a fruitful meeting with
a delegation from the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

The delegation was led by Her Excellency Averkova Elena, Head of the Foreign Affairs Cooperation Center of the Russian Ministry of Education.

The discussions covered various subjects with the goal of strengthening the excellence of training, education, and research programs implemented by the university in partnership with Russian higher institutes.

In the discussion, the Commandant said that the mutual relations and agreements between the two countries in the field of education should be strengthened.

He further stated that the Ethiopian Defence University will cooperate with the Ministry of Education of Russia in the field of research, technology transfer, as well as pedagogy.

During this significant discussion, Maj. Dr. Beteley Teka, the Director of External Relations and Institutional Cooperation at the Ethiopian Defence University, provided the delegates with a comprehensive explanation regarding the historical context of the university. Additionally, he elaborated on the teaching and learning methodologies employed within the institution

During his presentation, he highlighted the potential areas of collaboration through which the university could establish cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Education.
