
The 1st MCM, Military Cooperation meeting took place at General Headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army in Amman-Jordan from 26th – 30th November 2023.
The meeting was chaired by both Brigadier General Muhamad Bader AL Migdady, the chief of international cooperation department-DPO from Jordanian side and Brigadier General Kebede Regassa Gerbi, Ethiopian Defence University-EDU Commandant, from Ethiopian Side.
Brig. Gen. AL Migday highlighted the strong relations between Jordan and Ethiopia in different areas which are marked by a strong desire to further strengthen bilateral ties.
He underscored that these two sister nations possess shared values and a convergence of mutual interests, all aimed at promoting peace and stability in their respective regions.
Furthermore, he emphasized the determination of both sides to enhance the bilateral military relationship, striving for mutual benefits and a more fruitful collaboration.
Brig. Gen. Kebede Regassa, in his remarks, expressed optimism that the 1st MCM would serve as a catalyst for enhancing cooperation between the Armed Forces of the two friendly nations.
He highlighted the current state of relations between both countries, describing them as being at an all-time high and following an upward trajectory.
During the first MCM, both parties reached an agreement to foster collaboration in various areas.
These areas encompassed Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Joint Training, and Arabic language training.
The agreement highlights their shared commitment to advancing cooperation and knowledge exchange in these crucial fields.
