The commitment was made during an official working visit to EDU, where Brig. Gen. Knížek held discussions with senior university officials. The engagement focused on enhancing institutional ties, particularly in areas related to military history, academic exchange, and joint research initiatives.
Major General Dr. Beteley Teka, Director of the International Relations and Institutional Cooperation Directorate, provided an overview of the historical and ongoing collaboration between the two countries. He emphasized EDU’s strategic focus on expanding international partnerships in line with its academic and research mission.
Representing the university president, Colonel Edosa Tufa, Executive Director of the College of Engineering, welcomed the Czech delegation and acknowledged their continued support. He affirmed EDU’s readiness to collaborate on future projects, including joint research in social sciences and the development of military historical museums.
Brig. Gen. Knížek reiterated the Czech Republic’s commitment to deepening cooperation and building sustainable institutional linkages with Ethiopian military education and research institutions.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the College of Engineering’s laboratories, where they were briefed on ongoing research projects and technological advancements.
