Bishoftu, October 17, 2025(EDU) A high-level delegation from the Ethiopian Defence University (EDU), led by President Brigadier General Kebede Regassa, has concluded a successful working visit to the Czech Republic, engaging with leading universities, hospitals, and advanced manufacturing industries.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with senior leadership at the University of Defence (UD) in Brno and toured its educational and research facilities, including the Military Hospital in Brno and the Faculty of Military Medicine. The team also visited the University Hospital in Prague and Charles University one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious universities, established in 1347.
In addition to academic institutions, the EDU delegation visited renowned medical equipment manufacturers Linet Company and COMEDEQ Medical Equipment Company, both recognized for producing state-of-the-art medical devices and mobile clinics. The visit also included a stop at the Center for Medical Simulations in Prague.
The visit is expected to serve as a valuable benchmark for enhancing EDU’s educational programs, medical facilities, and research partnerships, strengthening its mission to advance defence education and capacity building in Ethiopia.
