The department was established in 2002 G.C. to produce engineers specialized in Chemical Engineering at undergraduate level. Since the
existing program has run for more than 10 years (2010-2020), the program is being revised in 2020 to accommodate the current needs of the
stake holders (MoD) which comes after the reform of the ministry and to be in line with the new national education road map
implementation by Ministry of Science an Higher Education (MoSHE) from year 2019/2020 AY. As chemical engineering department
launched over 165 undergraduate student was graduated in Chemical engineering field until 2021.
In order to continue the national transformation goals for self-reliance in defense technologies, the department has raised the defense technological training and research and opened four selected specializations in the post-graduate program to make a significant contribution to the national defense:
i. High Energy Materials Engineering,
ii. Electrochemical Engineering,
iii. Biochemical Engineering, and
iv. Nuclear Engineering
The Department offers the field of Civil Engineering program at undergraduate (B.Tech.) level for a 5-year degree program as per the existing requirements of the MoD.
