About Institute of Research and Development
The Institute of Research and Development, Defense University (IRD) is a wide-range defense research institution that covers various areas of defense technology. Its commitment is to increase self-reliance in defense technology systems through intensive and systematic research. The ultimate goal of IRD’s research is the production of weapon systems and equipment that meet the current demand and future requirements of the Ministry of Defense. By conducting research in various areas of defense technology, IRD aims to contribute to the development of a strong and self-reliant defense industry that can meet the needs of the country’s defense forces.
Through its research efforts, IRD strives to develop cutting-edge technologies that can enhance the capabilities of the defense forces, improve national security, and contribute to the overall development of the country.
IRD is organized into the following research centers:
- Center for Flight Dynamics and Control
- Center for Armaments and High Energy Materials
- Center for Electronics and cyber Warfare
- Center for Biotechnology
In addition to these research centers, IRD also has a Center for Nonlinear Dynamics and other supporting sections. This organizational structure allows IRD to focus its research efforts in specific areas, while also providing the necessary support and resources to carry out its research projects. Each research center has its own team of researchers, staff, and facilities, and may collaborate with other centers or external partners to achieve its research goals.
